Community Partnerships Support Feeding our Neighbors

Nurturing the Neighborhood on Wintergarden was blessed with an abundance of generosity for our food pantry located on the Wintergarden Presbyterian Church grounds. Wintergarden Food Pantry feeds over 600 families or 2300 individuals each Thursday, and Thanksgiving distribution was 654 families and 2500 people. It is no easy feat and we truly depend on the kindness of community. We would like to thank some incredibly uplifting churches, as well as some knock your socks off generous community businesses and individuals. UCC, St. Paul’s Presbyterian, Burnt Store Presbyterian, Bee Ridge Presbyterian, Ed and Wendy Leslie of the Port Charlotte Chic-fil-a, Bocca Lupo, Indivisible, H.E.L.P., Cheney Brothers, Publix, Harry Chapin and many more beautiful Thanksgiving angels. Our neighbors were able to have a little less weight on their shoulders this November thanks to their commitment to generosity. The efforts of our community to lift up others around us is a reminder that kindness and humanity still prevail in our world.
